Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains how the Boat Speedometer app (“the App”) handles your data. In short: the App does not collect, send or share any personal data. It has no account, no ads and no analytics.

2. Location

The App uses your device’s GPS location only to calculate your current speed, trip distance, average and maximum speed, and heading. Location is processed only on your device while the App is open. It is never stored on our servers, sent to us or shared with any third party. If you use “Show on map”, your current position is passed to the map app you choose on your device; that app’s own privacy policy applies. You can withdraw the location permission at any time in your device settings.

3. Trip data and settings

Trip data (maximum and average speed, distance, moving time) is kept in the device’s memory only while the App is running and is cleared when you reset the trip or close the App. The App saves one setting on your device: the speed unit you chose. If Android backup is enabled on your device, Android may include this setting in your device backup, which is handled by Google under your Google account settings.

4. Data collected

None. The App contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash reporting libraries, does not have permission to access the internet, and we receive no data from it.

5. Children

The App does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

6. Your rights and contact

Because we do not collect or store personal data from the App, there is no App data for us to access, correct or delete. If you have questions, contact us at info@mobali.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee) or the authority in your own country of residence.

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with an updated date.
